Re: [Acoustic Guitarist Guild] Beginning Guitarist

aloha/ha ha ha ha .....
if your problem is the tips of your fingers, you could always purchase a cheap nylon string guitar. the necks are wider andthey help you stretch your hands to obtain the nessicary muscle memory to hold chords and switch fluently. practice will only cure this and nylon strings can allow you to play for longer periods of time. i have a low level fender nylon/classical guitar and i got it for $79.00 on sale new. it plays fantastic for the price but i did replace the tuners with sturdies, prettier ones.

Subject: [Acoustic Guitarist Guild] Beginning Guitarist

Hi... I just started playing the acoustic guitar. I'm moving along at a slow rate but I'm getting better. I was wondering if anyone would know what's a good string to use. I have a lauren acoustic guitar. Im not fimilar with what gauge is better. My strings are super hard and I'm having a hard time pushing them down. Would it benefit me as a beginner to have a string that's easier to push down. Or stay with the strings I have now?
